
1. Check if you have the required knowledge and experience
Candidates must have the required knowledge and experience before they can take a certification exam. Select one of the certification tracks below to see the specific prerequisites:
- Certified Information Security Officer
- Certified IT-Security Officer
- Certified Data Protection Officer
- Certified Ethical Hacking Leader
- Certified Secure Software Leader
- Certified Business Continuity Officer
- Certified Crisis Management Officer

2. Schedule an Exam
All exams are taken at Accredited Exam Centres or online via SECO-Institute.You can find more information about SECO-Institute exams and how to book them here.
3. Passing and obtaining your title & digital badge
Once you have passed the certification exam, you can claim your title to become SECO-Institute-certified! The certification gives you internationally recognised credential. The institute will email you detailed instructions for the receipt of your official certificate, digital badge and title. You can also claim your title at the SECO-Institute website. 4. Maintain your CPE points
Each certification level requires the attainment of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours over an annual and three-year period. This requirement must be met in order to retain your certification.
