Crisis Management – The Foundation for Managing a Crisis
by Lex Schampers, published by SECO-Institute.

In a time when organisations are increasingly confronted with unexpected situations – from cyberattacks to social unrest, from power outages to pandemics – effective crisis management is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. Yet, there is a surprising lack of practical literature on how to deal with crises in real life.

Crisis Management is written for anyone who is serious about preparing for the unpredictable. Regardless of your sector, this book offers practical tools for setting up a crisis organisation that truly works. No abstract models, but applicable insights, hands-on tips, and relatable examples.

It is intended for both aspiring crisis managers and experienced professionals looking to translate their knowledge into daily practice. The book will also become part of the curriculum in SECO-Institute’s Crisis Management learning pathway.

About the author: Lex Schampers is a business administrator with broad and in-depth experience in crisis management, both within the public sector and the transport and logistics industry. The complex interplay between crisis management, business continuity, risk management, and (cyber)security has been his daily field of work and passion for many years, one that he consistently succeeded in translating into effective and appropriate strategies.
