The Expert Level is the senior-level course in the certification track. This level aims at developing subject-specific design and management skills in a 10-15-day course. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive your certificate, in the possession of which you can register for the internationally recognised SECO-Institute Expert title. The Expert Certification requires a minimum of 40 CPE credits yearly (a total of 120 credits in the three-year certification cycle).

Security & Continuity Institute (SECO)

We are Europe’s leading institute for high-level Security & Continuity certification titles. SECO owns the Cyber Security & Governance Certification Program. This certification program consists of 7 different certification tracks aligned with individual jobs and job-specific disciplines.

Certification Levels

Each of the certification tracks consists of four levels, beginning with the Foundation Level. The Foundation Level is followed by the Practitioner, and thereafter the Expert Level. After completing the Expert Level, you can apply for the Certified Officer Level, provided that you have the required work experience.

S-ISME certificate and digital badge

Upon successful completion of a SECO Information Security Management Expert certification exam, you will receive the S-ISME certification title and a digital badge. Your credentials will grant you a one-year SECO membership. After your certification expires, you will have the option to re-certify by paying a small fee.

As a prerequisite to renewing your certification, you have to meet Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements. CPE requirements can be met by attending workshops, conferences and webinars, publishing articles, providing training, and performing other similar activities that help you maintain your professional competencies.
